Communication Error 8: What To Do When You Encounter It?

Communication Error 8

What is the meaning of communication error 8? What should you do if you encounter this kind of error? These are some of the questions that we will tackle below.

What Does Communication Error 8 Mean?

Communication Error 8 means that something is wrong with the cable connecting your computer to the printer. So this can be either a damaged or loose cable, or it can be a faulty port on your computer.

If you are using a USB cable to connect your printer to your computer, try using a different USB cable and port. If this doesn’t work, then you need to replace the damaged or loose USB cable.

If you are using a parallel cable to connect your printer to your computer. So try disconnecting the parallel cable and starting up the computer again.

Once you have done this, reconnect the parallel cable and see if Windows detects it properly this time. If this doesn’t work, then you need to replace the faulty parallel cable.

Lastly, if none of these solutions work for you then there may be something wrong with both your computer and your printer. In this case, you need to contact either Dell or HP customer support for help with resolving this issue.

What Should You Do If You Encounter Communication Error 8?

When a communication error occurs, the first thing that you should do is to check the batteries of your Wii Remote and/or Wii Nunchuk. If the batteries are already drained, take them out and make sure to put in new ones.

If the error continues to occur even after replacing the batteries, then you can try resetting your Wii console. To reset your Wii, please follow these steps:

Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the Wii console completely shuts down. Remove the AC adapter from the back of the Wii console. Unplug the cord from the wall outlet.

Press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds to drain any remaining current from the system. Press and hold the power button again to turn on your Wii console.

If you still get a communication error 8, you can try this step:

1. Plug your Nintendo Wii directly into a wall outlet using a Nintendo-approved power cord (sold separately).

2. DO NOT use an extension cord or power strip.

3. Use only an AC adapter approved by Nintendo as shown here.

4. DO NOT use anything other than an approved AC adapter with your system.

5. DO NOT attempt to charge or power your system through a computer connection or by any other means than an approved AC adapter.

6. Doing so may cause damage to your system and will void all warranties.

Conclusion:

Communication Error 8 is a common error that usually means that there is something wrong with the port or cable. That is connecting your computer to your printer.

If you are using a USB cable, try using a different USB cable and port. If you are using a parallel cable, try disconnecting the parallel cable and restarting your computer.

In case none of these solutions work for you, contact Dell or HP support for help with resolving this issue.
